Services Week 2020!

It’s Services Week next week and LGSS Digital is helping to bring it to Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire!

Services Week is a series of cross-government events that looks at how we can work together to deliver end-to-end, user-focused services. From 3rd-7th February, events in many parts of the UK showcase the important service transformation work going on in all levels of government. You can learn more about Services Week 2020 in this blog post. There is also a full event calendar launched by the Government Digital Service here.

LGSS Digital works with services in all of our partner councils to creatively and collaboratively solve problems and redesign services to make things better for people and reduce the cost to serve for the council. There is loads of information about work we have done with our partners on our blog.

There are going to be lots of events taking place all over the country next week that you can get involved in by attending the events in person or remotely.  We will also be running the following events locally, so please do come along if you are interested!

Show & Tell

The Show & Tell gallery gives you an opportunity to see some of the work we have done with the Technology Enabled Care team and the Learning Disability Partnership. Our aim was to look at how digital tools may be used to increase the independence of adults with learning disabilities. You will be able to:

  • View a gallery of the insights we gathered during the research
  • Play around with the prototype we created
  • Talk with the researchers about what’s happening next following our award of £120k to build a new online resource

…and of course, snacks and nibbles will be provided!

If you would like to come along to the Show & Tell, please just drop in any time between the times stated.  If you are not a member of staff, you are still most welcome!  Just drop Adele an email so we can let reception know to expect you!
